Hotel Booking Instructions for Biomaterials Workshop Participants
We have secured a group rate at the Holiday Inn in Ballston, just a few blocks away from NSF headquarters, where the workshop will be held. The group rate begins at check-in on Monday, June 18th and ends at check-out on Thursday, June 21st. You are welcome to reserve a room elsewhere; however, you will only be reimbursed up to the Holiday Inn rate of $203/night + tax. As the workshop will end on Wednesday, June 20th, we ask that you only book a stay until Thursday, June 21st if flight schedules do not allow you to leave Wednesday evening or if the difference in flight prices between Wednesday evening and Thursday exceeds an extra hotel night.
To ensure the group rate, you must book by Tuesday, May 1st.
The hotel is a 10-minute walk from NSF, but shuttle service will also be provided if needed. Breakfast is not included in the group rate, but the hotel does provide complimentary internet access in guest rooms and the lobby.

Tell them you’re with the NSF Biomaterials Workshop and ask for the reduced rate. They may be willing to extend the rate outside the window on a case-by-case basis.
